Star Touring and Riding Chapter 166,

Sending you a very large thank you on behalf of HHC 724th Engineer Battalion. We received your care package today (Thursday the 24th of June.) Everything in the care package was perfect! I believe it took about 10 min for the boxes to be completely emptied. We appreciate having the support of those back home, it's nice to know that while we are over here people are thinking about us and have not forgotten us.

Hello again from Afghanistan….

I want to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for all the support, boxes, prayers and love that has been sent to me and my Marines of CLR-2 over the past 9 months. The mail feels like it is coming in at a cyclic rate…our postal Marines are working 24 hour operations so that the Marines in Afghanistan can get their mail in a timely manner.

24 Nov 2009:
Good Morning from Afghanistan,

I wanted to drop in and say a big THANK YOU for all the boxes that have come in the past few days to me and my Marines. The support that you and your families give us while we are out here away from our own, is overwhelming! With the holidays fast approaching, I want to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving. We won’t be able to sit down with our immediate families to a Thanksgiving meal, but we will be able to share a Thanksgiving meal with our family out here.

Nov. 2009 Troop donations

Thank you for everyone's donations to our Support the Troops project. We filled four boxes this month. I sent two boxes each to the following:

GySgt Laura A. Bigley, Afghanistan

LCpL Tyler S. Cruse, Afghanistan

Both of these Marines are listed on the Any Marine web site. You can visit the site to read their messages.

You all should be very proud. Our chapter has sent 26 care packages to troops in Iraq and Afghanistan since we started this project last spring.

Thank you for your support.
