Like the citizens of the frontier towns we encounter the need, at times, for some assistance from someone who has formal training such as a poilce officer, physician, nurse, firefighter, paramedic EMT or search and rescue. To help identify which of our members have volunteered to be of assistance in this capacity, Star has developed a special pin to identify these people. The "Tin Star" identifies them. If members are in need of urgent help and they see one of our riders waering the :Tin Star" they know who to ask and that they are in good hands.
