The August meeting was called to order by President Donnie Kleven. It was the 7th meeting held at Johnson Sales and Service and we had 16 members in attendance. Welcome to new members Doug and Sue Kiry from Mt. Horeb. Deb Olson gave the treasure report and reported a balance of $754.10. Reminded members that t-shirt and pins are still available. There will be another shirt order coming up in September, please contact Deb with item, color and size. Bonnie, aka GPS, reminded us on upcoming rides and she informed the chapter of the route and gas stops have been planned for Midwest Star B Que. Discussion on the theme for the Midwest Star B Q and it was to go with a race theme and to find shirts race related. Possible green, red, yellow and other race flag colored shirts are planned. John Pahs spoke about a soldier’s response and that the donations where going to troops in Afghanistan. He reported that he was able to ship 3 boxes in July. Cody Kleven updated the chapter with the new web site information and what to look forward to in the future. He talk about added features and chat boards that we will be having soon. Music and more information for all to see. Thanks for the hard work on the web site. It is a great tool for keeping everyone informed of events and information. We had new members Doug and Sue in attendance and Sue spoke of the CruisinUSA web site and how we can tie the our web site with their’s for more information. The Mike Hickok won the 50/50 raffle of $ 55.00 and donated it all to the Chapter. Thank you so much! A motion to adjourn was made by Bonnie and seconded by Nick and the meeting was adjourned. 10 Chapter members drove there vehicles to Waunakee for lunch, as it was raining.
